For Project 1, I created a Water Collection game that multiple people can connect to and play at the same time. The object of the game is to help your team collect the most water and survive the deserted island. When users connect they are sorted into two teams. There is a central website that displays the progress of each team. Users use their mobile device to collect water by shaking their phone and then slowly make a pouring motion to contribute their water to the team bucket. If users shake a certain way they might spill the water in their individual bucket. The team that reaches the red line first wins and survives another day.
I created this project using the motion and acceleration sensors in mobile devices. This information was transferred to the central website using socket.io and the interface to display all the information was drawn with p5.
